Iron & Branch is an independent design and build workshop in Northwest Ohio focusing on solid-wood projects that are simple in form and function. Traditional crafting methods are used to create durable goods that are built to last a lifetime.
In a world increasingly obsessed with speed, mass production and the throwaway, we choose to stand at the opposite end of the spectrum. At Iron & Branch, every curve is shaped by hand to create beautiful, original pieces. This approach ensures continuity of grain and a direct visual connection with the tree from which it came.
We only work with sustainably sourced or reclaimed lumber and never use stains, dyes, or heavy chemicals. We rely completely on the natural colors of various woods to create dramatic patterns.
Our ideas are leveraged by influences of old and we look to the histories of people, their folklore, and the intricacies of their craft. We admire the maker movement, which pushes for an authentic lifestyle that appreciates simplicity and the traditional, time-tested way of creating things.
